Dear New South Wales Fire Brigades Retirees Association,

My name is Kelsey Madden and I’m a Research Assistant at Phoenix Australia - Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health. I am writing to you today to see if you may be able to assist us in advertising a current research study of ours.

I have attached a recruitment flyer with further information about the study. You can also find a Facebook post to share here: https://bit.ly/3wNnX3Y , and some further information and a link to the Phoenix Australia website below:

Well-Ahead Study

Phoenix Australia has recently developed a mobile app, called Well-Ahead SOLAR for female ex-serving military and former emergency service members. This mobile app is designed to improve mental health and wellbeing. The Well-Ahead SOLAR app teaches evidence-based ways of improving sleep, managing strong emotions, enhancing wellbeing, and coming to terms with difficult experiences. We are seeking volunteers who are experiencing challenges with mental well-being (e.g., difficulty sleeping or concentrating, low or irritable mood, disengaging from usual activities) to participate in the Well-Ahead Study and trial the app.

We are wondering whether you would be able to share information regarding the Well-Ahead Study on your social media, newsletter, or other similar avenues?

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Kind regards,
Well-Ahead Study Team
