GENERAL

ANZAC Day 2005

Monday 25 April 2005 is ANZAC Day.

The Commissioner has approved special leave for all ex-service personnel who are rostered for duty on ANZAC Day and who march with the NSWFB contingent in the Sydney ANZAC Day March.

This leave will not be deducted from personal leave credits. It is approved on the following basis:

· personnel rostered on day shift – C Platoon – 10 hours leave approved from 0800 hours to 1800 hours, Monday 25 April 2005.
· personnel rostered on night shift – D Platoon – 14 hours leave approved from 1800 hours, Monday 25 April 2005, to 0800 hours, Tuesday 26 April 2005.

To assist Operational Commanders in maintaining station staffing, eligible personnel who are rostered for duty as above and who desire to march with the NSWFB contingent must submit leave applications, through the chain of command, to the Manager Operational Personnel by 20 April 2005.

Attending on duty personnel must also complete an ANZAC Day Leave Form which will be issued by the Contingent Commander, Assistant Commissioner Bob Dobson, prior to the commencement of the NSWFB ANZAC Day ceremony at No 1 Station.

The obligation to obtain and return completed ANZAC Day Leave Forms to the Contingent Commander rests with the individual. On duty personnel who fail to complete an ANZAC Day Leave Form will not be granted special leave with pay.

Dress: Ceremonial Dress Uniform.

Off duty personnel and families are welcome to attend the NSWFB ANZAC Day ceremony at the City of Sydney Fire Station which commences at 0800 hours.
