(29/09/06) Fire Brigade Bowls Report.  

On Monday the 25th of September 2006 the Fire Brigades Singles Championship was played at Greenacre Bowling Club. 24 players attended and were greeted by President Don Madden and Secretary Mark Maguire.   The carnival was played over two days . The semi final was contested by John Blackman V Ted Thompson and Jim Brown (son of REG ) V Mark Maguire ( no relation of John ) The Final was contested by John Blackman and Jim Brown with John being the outwright winner 31 to 21. Congratulations John.

Any retired member who would like to join our bowling group should contact Don Madden or Mark Maguire.   The Bowling Members have lost our respected past Secretary Ces Montgomery. It was pleasing to see so many retired and serving members present.   Regards Ted Thompson Ass Secretary
