OHS Risk Management Coordinator,
Clerk 9/10
Position No: 740202. Head Office,
Sydney, Temporary full-time for two years with possible extension. Total
remuneration package valued to $92,591 pa including salary ($76,142-$83,907),
employer’s contribution to superannuation and leave loading.
Duties: The position is
responsible for researching and providing
OHS services and advice to managers
and other stakeholders, monitoring and
auditing OHS performance, and managing the OHS Risk Management Section of the NSW Fire Brigades.
Selection criteria: Demonstrated experience and skills in providing
OHS services and advice to managers. Ability and experience in leading and
managing a small team of OHS professionals, in a complex, multi-site
organisation or in a similar environment. High level knowledge of NSW
OHS legislation, policies and practice, and ability to apply this knowledge to
the practical resolution of OHS issues. Well developed oral communication and interpersonal skills, with
the ability to liaise and negotiate
effectively at all levels, and to build and maintain effective networks. Sound skills and experience in
preparation and presentation of complex reports, submissions, briefing notes
and correspondence. Good project
management skills. Post-graduate
qualifications related to OHS or equivalent training or experience. Competent in the use of computer
software, including email, word processing, database, spreadsheet, graphics and
the internet. Common selection criteria
also apply.

Operators, Wollongong Communication

In accordance with Clause
28A.6.1.1 of the Crown Employees (NSW Fire Brigades Firefighting Staff)
Award 2005 applications are invited from firefighters holding the rank of
Qualified Firefighter or Senior Firefighter for Operator positions that are or
may become available in the Wollongong Communication Centre.
(Staff applying under Clause
28A.6.1.1 must be attached to the Illawarra Fire District).
The
appointment will be for a minimum of two years.
Operators are responsible to the
Supervisor for carrying out duties and tasks required to maintain a high
standard of service in call taking, dispatching and notification of incidents.
The position attracts an
allowance of $269.06 per fortnight which is superable.
Appointment will involve an
interview by a selection panel, and successful completion of a training course
by the selected applicant. An
