Duties:
Undertakes a wide range of activities across management areas within the
Fleet Unit, having responsibility for warranty issues, cascade programs,
accident repair and fit-out of fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring quality
assurance and OHS inspections and procedures are adhered to.
Selection criteria: Demonstrated
project management skills, combined with a background in a mechanical,
electrical and or heavy motor vehicle engineering/trade discipline.
Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling within a heavy vehicle
environment. A current Heavy Vehicle Inspectors Certificate is required,
as is a minimum license classification of Heavy Rigid. Sound analytical and problem solving skills. Superior
communications skills for directing, liaising and negotiating with contractors. Demonstrated
experience in monitoring safe work practices, OHS systems and manual handling
in a workshop or similar environment. Demonstrated computer literacy. Common

Duties: Responsible for procurement (by lease,
passenger and light commercial fleet) fit-out, commissioning, decommissioning
and management reporting of the NSWFB minor vehicle Fleet. Also ensuring compliance with NSWFB
functional/technical and RTA requirements.
Selection criteria: Working knowledge and experience of contemporary fleet management systems including acquisition by lease, specialised fit-out, maintenance scheduling and preparing for disposal. Experience with mechanical and technical aspects of the light commercial motor vehicle industry. Demonstrated ability to interpret functional requirements and technical specifications together with ADR and RTA compliance. High level computer literacy. Financial ability including whole life costings and commercial proposals. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to use initiative and discretion. Experience in stores issue (receipt and dispatch), preservation and stowage of different stores items. Demonstrated computer literacy including alpha‑numeric data entry skills and practical experience utilising a computerised inventory management system. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, together with a capacity to deliver quality customer service in a decentralised environment.
