Assistant Director Employee Relations, Senior Officer 2, Human Resources Directorate

 

Position No 741002. Head Office, Sydney. Permanent full-time. Total remuneration package valued up to $141,841 including salary ($120,070 - $128,537), employer’s contribution to superannuation and leave loading

 

Duties: Implement strategic workplace reforms for the NSW Fire Brigades and provide high-level specialist employee relations advice to the Director Human Resources and other executives.

 

Selection criteria: Demonstrated success in leading the development and implementation of high quality, client focused employee services and strategies. High level industrial relations experience and extensive knowledge of the NSW industrial relations system. Superior knowledge and understanding of contemporary human resource management practices in a public sector environment. Demonstrated ability to liaise, advise and negotiate effectively with key stakeholders including management, employees, unions and external agencies. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a proven ability to meet challenges through initiative and innovation. Demonstrated ability to effectively initiate and manage change within a complex organisation. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, preferably at the post-graduate level or equivalent experience. Common selection criteria also apply.
